Hydrocele

Hydrocele is fluid accumulated in the sac that surrounds the testicles (sex gland in men where sperm is produced). Older men are more prone to it. A hydrocele may involve either one side (unilateral) or both sides (bilateral) of the scrotum. Hydrocele may occur in either gender, but are much more common in males.Hydroceles are common in newborn infants. During normal development, the testicles descend down a tube from the abdomen into the scrotum. Hydroceles result when this tube fails to close. Fluid drains from the abdomen through the open tube. The fluid builds up in the scrotum, where it becomes trapped. This causes the scrotum to become swollen. Hydroceles normally go away a few months after birth, but their appearance may worry new parents.

Classification Of Hydrocele:
►Communicating Hydrocele:
Communicating hydroceles are present at birth and occur as a consequence of the failure of the "tail" end of the process vaginalis to completely close off. Peritoneal fluid (free fluid in the abdominal cavity) is thus free to pass into the scrotum in which the process vaginalis surrounds the testicle.A characteristic feature of communicating hydrocele is their tendency to be relatively small in the morning (having been horizontal during sleep) and increase in size during the day (peritoneal fluid drainage assisted by gravity). Actions which increase intra-abdominal pressure (for example, crying, severe coughing and so on) will also tend to increase the size of the hydrocele.
►Communicating Hydrocele:
Non-communicating hydrocele may also be present at birth or develop as a boy matures. In a non-communicating hydrocele the tail end of the process vaginalis has closed appropriately. The fluid surrounding the testicle is created by the lining cells of the process vaginalis and is unable to either drain or be reabsorbed efficiently and thus accumulates. Since this fluid is walled off, the size of the hydrocele is generally stable and does not reflect intra-abdominal pressure.

Causes of Hydrocele:
Toxicity due to wrong dietary habits.
Suppressive Drugs.
General wrong living.
Knock or Strain.
Sexual excess and abuse are the main factors.
Tuberculosis, Dropsy, Gonorrheal Infection and Obstruction of Abdominal Vein are other factors.
If  newly born infants have this problem, it usually disappears by itself gradually. If homeopathy treatment is taken it helps to correct the problem of Hydrocele in new born faster.

    Symptoms Of Hydrocele:
The main symptom of hydrocele is an enlargement of scrotum which is usually painless. This may also be accompanied by swelling, which while walking may cause a great deal of inconvenience. Subsequently as a result of this, a great amount of pressurose is exerted on the testicles and the spermatic vessels, causing an adverse effect on the generative system. In some cases due to infection, the swelling may also become painful. The most common cause of hydrocele is a strain or a knock to the testicles, but according to Naturopathy the root cause of this disease is considered to be the toxic condition of the system. Suppressive medical treatment of former diseases, wrong habits of eating and wrong standards of living may give rise to system toxicity. Other contributory factors responsible for hydrocele may include gonorrheal infection, excess of sexual intercourse, sexual abuse, obstruction of abdominal vein and diseases such as dropsy and tuberculosis. In hydrocele there is elastic, smooth and painless enlargement of the scrotum. Sometimes inconvenience is caused during walking. If there is pain it denotes infection.
